Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award

MOSCOW, Idaho – In the middle of another successful Big Sky campaign, Idaho soccer has received recognition for its efforts off the field as a recipient of the NSCAA College Team Academic Award.

The Vandals posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.31 during the 2015-16 season, one that also saw Idaho go undefeated in conference play on its way to a Big Sky Regular Season Championship.

893 soccer teams were recognized, including 578 women's teams at all divisions.  To qualify, teams must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher during the 2015-16 academic year.  Four Big Sky teams were recognized this year.

Last year's lone senior, Reagan Quigley, was also recognized by the Big Sky Conference as the 2015-16 Scholar-Athlete Award winner, given to the athlete with the highest overall GPA among participating athletes.

Idaho is having another tremendous season, having won four straight games in conference.  The offense is clicking at the right time, with 12 goals over the last three games.  The defense also continues to be a strong point for this Vandals squad that has only allowed more than one goal in a conference game once in the last two years.
