DEKALB, Ill. – The season is about to get kicked up a notch, as Idaho (1-0) hits the road for a pair of tough matchups, beginning with Northern Illinois (2-0) on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. Pacific.

PREVIEW: Idaho got the season started with a 90-67 win over Corban University on Saturday night in Memorial Gym.Â
Victor Sanders led all scorers with 19 points on the game, going 6-of-9 from the field and 3-of-3 from beyond the arc.Â
Perrion Callandret added 14 points, five boards and five assists.

NIU enters the game 2-0 after defeating Roosevelt on Monday night, 99-55. The Huskies also took down Indiana State, 80-78, in overtime to start the season.

MATCHUP: NIU won the lone meeting between these two teams back at the beginning of the 2014-15 season. Callandret and
Arkadiy Mkrtychyan were key factors in the game for the Vandals off the bench.

BIG MAN INSIDE – Junior
Brayon Blake had a fantastic opening night in the Silver and Gold. Blake finished with a double-double at 13 points and 11 boards. Last season, the Vandals recorded just two double-doubles on the year, with
Nate Sherwood recording the second in early February at NAU.
