Idaho State Champion joins Vandals

MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho Track & Field program is excited to announce the signing of Britt Ipsen of Capitol High School in Boise, Idaho.
 
Ipsen is an incredibly talented and versatile jumper. He is an Idaho State Champion in both the long jump and high jump. He won his first state title in 2015, winning the long jump. He followed that state title in 2016 by winning the high jump at state championship. He has personal bests of 23 feet eight and 1/4 inches in the long jump and six feet eight inches in the high jump.
 
Ipsen is also outstanding in the triple jump. He placed second in 2016 and fourth in 2015 at the state championships in the triple jump and has a personal best of 46 feet five 1/2 inches.
 
Ipsen is also an excellent student and plans to study Operations Management. He has been coached at Capi­tal High School by University of Idaho Track & Field alum Bryan Stith.
