SEATTLE--The Idaho Vandals face its toughest test of the season thus far on Tuesday when they take on nationally ranked Washington. Idaho is off to a 2-0 start, winning its first two road-tests. Idaho will be in Seattle for the second time this season, after opening at Seattle U. 

About Idaho: Idaho is off to a 2-0 start to the 2016-17 season. Idaho has close wins over Seattle U and Cal State Fullerton. It is Idaho's third 2-0 start in Coach Newlee's nine seasons.  

About the Opponent: Washington enters the week ranked No. 15 in the nation. The Huskies are off to a 3-1 start to the season. UW has wins over Eastern Wash., Colorado St. and Missouri. Washington fell to No. 1 Notre Dame, 71-60.

The Match-Up: Washington owns the series lead, 7-1. Idaho's lone victory came in 1983 with a 82-76 victory in Seattle. Since then Washington has won four in a row. 

Keep away: Idaho has totaled 22 turnovers in two games, ranking the ninth fewest in the NCAA. It's 11.0 turnovers per game come in 12th. 

Make it Rain: The Vandals are averaging 11.0 3FGM per game, ranking seventh in the NCAA. 

Playing Nice: Idaho has been called for 14.0 personal fouls per game this season, 17th in the NCAA. Last year the Vandals were the least penalized team in the Big Sky, averaging 15.0 personal fouls per game, 33rd in nation.

Ball Control: Idaho ranks fifth in the nation with an assist/turnover ratio of 1.68.

Apples to apples: Idaho's 18.5 assists per game lead the Big Sky.

Slim Wins: Idaho's two wins this season have been by margins of four and two points. Idaho was 7-4 last year in games decided by 10 points or less.

600: Idaho's win over Cal State Fullerton was the program's 600th. 

Newlee Openers: Idaho improved to 4-5 in season openers under Coach Newlee with its 68-64 win at Seattle U.

Exhibition: Idaho defeated Multhomah, 83-45, in its only preseason warmup. Mikayla Ferenz led the Vandals with 15 points.

Preseason Poll: The Vandals were voted to 1st in the coaches poll and second by the Big Sky media poll.
