MOSCOW, Idaho – After a tough road loss the Idaho men's basketball team (3-2) returns home to Memorial Gym to take on San Jose State (2-3) at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

PREVIEW: Idaho fell at Sam Houston State on Friday night, 69-62.  Idaho hit a cold stretch midway through the first half, going 7-plus minutes without a point and 10-plus minutes without a field goal.  The Vandals would respond to take a lead early in the second half, but ran out of gas down the stretch.
 
San Jose State defeated Washington State, 88-76, on the road on Sunday night.  The Spartans dominated the interior, with both starting forwards posting double-doubles, and won the rebound battle 50-39.
 
MATCHUP: Idaho is 14-12 all-time against San Jose State, including a 74-54 win last season.  Perrion Callandret led the way for the Vandals in the season-opening win on the road, finishing with 18 points.  Victor Sanders was solid with 13 points and a team-high eight boards, while Nate Sherwood added 15 points off the bench.
 
FOUL TROUBLE: Foul trouble has been a major issue for this year's Vandals.  Idaho is averaging 23.4 fouls per game this season, up from 21.6 last year.  Individually, Nate Sherwood has gone from 2.6 fouls per game to 4.4.  Sherwood has fouled out three times this year, equaling last year's total.
