BROOKINGS, S.D. – The non-conference schedule is winding down, with Idaho (4-4) making its second-to-last road trip, out to South Dakota State (4-7) at 5 p.m. Pacific on Saturday.

PREVIEW: Idaho dropped its last game, 61-48, at Washington State.  The Cougars built a quick lead and never looked back, staying up by double-digits throughout.  Victor Sanders returned to form, leading the Vandals with 18 points and a career-high seven steals.  The seven steals are the most in a single game by an individual under Don Verlin.
 
MATCHUP: Idaho defeated South Dakota State earlier this year, 96-89, in overtime.  Idaho led for much of the second half but the Jackrabbits forced the overtime period with a last second 3-pointer to tie.  Idaho was poised in OT, building a substantial lead and closing the game out at the line.
 
Since the game Idaho has gone just 1-3, but played three of the four toughest teams the Vandals have played all year (according to RPI).  South Dakota State had won three straight before falling to Northern Iowa on Wednesday night.
