ALBUQUERQUE--The 2016 volleyball season is set to begin for the Idaho Vandals on Friday with a pair of matches. Quotable: "[This tournament] is really going to come down to us. We are 12 underclassmen right now out of the 15 players we have healthy. We are just going to have to maintain our errors. Obviously, we need to see were we match up. We thing we are playing really good defense right now and our offense is fast. Can we go do that against other teams is what we are going to find out." - Head coach
Debbie Buchanan.
Postseason Streak: 2015 marked Idaho's 11th consecutive conference postseason tournament. The Vandals won Big Sky championships in their final four seasons in the Big Sky, 1992-95, before returning to the conference in 2014.
Youth Movement: Idaho boasts a young roster in 2016 with 12 underclassmen (seven freshmen, five sophomores).

She ranked seventh in the conference with 3.11 kills per set, reaching double figures in 20 matches, and notched 2.98 digs per frame.
