Paul Petrino to sum up the Vandals' attitude as camp begins for the University of Idaho football team.

"Excited," he said as he addressed the media on the day before camp 2016 officially begins with a 6 p.m. practice on Thursday. "There's a lot of excitement in the building. Our guys have had a great summer. They worked really hard.

"There's a lot of belief and excitement and our expectations are high. Now we just have to go for it and make it happen."

Listen in as he meets with the reporters for the first time this fall. The Vandals practice at 6 p.m. Thursday through Sunday before switching to morning sessions next week. Idaho opens the 2016 season at home on Thursday, Sept. 1, against Montana State in the annual Tackle Cancer game. Kickoff is 6 p.m. at the Kibbie Dome. Tickets are available
