Twenty-four football players earned recognition from the Sun Belt Conference for their academic performances last year. Eleven are on the Commissioner's List, which honors players with grade-point averages of 3.5 or higher, and another 13 are on the Academic Honor Roll for players with averages from 3.0-3.49.

Graduated senior Broc Westlake (Finance) is on the Commissioner's List along with senior Mason Woods (Human Resource Management); junior Jacob Sannon (Accounting); sophomores Austin Phillips (Mechanical Engineering) and Alex Boatman (Finance), and freshmen Zach Bafus (Exercise Science & Health), Josh Ellingon (Civil Engineering), Sam Fenlason (Business), Micah Hamilton (Broadcast and Digital Media), Tanner Mauseth (Physics), and Cole Williams (Marketing).

On the academic honor roll are seniors Brett Ballard (Exercise Science & Health), Jordan Frysinger (Economics), Kendrick Trotter (Organizational Sciences) and Calvin White (Finance); juniors Dorian Clark (General Studies), Doug Coman (Exercise Science and Health), Brady Strodtbeck (Sociology-Criminology) and Jack Tate (Operations Management); sophomore A.J. Woodin (Organizational Sciences), and freshmen Zion Dixon (Exercise Science and Health), Evan Lunning (Finance) and Garrett Wideen (Informationa Systems). Graduated senior Achilles Wynn (General Studies) also is on the academic honor roll.

Ballard and Trotter, both with one season to play, already have earned their bachelor's degrees and are working on graduate studies this fall.
