Golfers ranked 22nd nationally

Third in the region

The University of Idaho women's golf team, winners of its last three successive tournaments, is ranked 22nd nationally and third regionally after its second-opening victory in the WSU Cougar Cup.
"It is an honor and a tribute to our team and University to be rannked this high early in the year," coach Lisa Johnson said. "We will use this as a springboard for the rest of the season."
Idaho, the 2016 Big Sky Conference champion, shot an even-par 864 at the Cougar Cup. The Vandals continue the fall portion of the season at the Golfweek Conference Challenge next week.
