Hausmann tied for fourth

Hasenoehrl close behind in a tie for ninth

WOLCOTT, Colo. – Sophomore Sophie Hausmann is tied for fourth and senior Amy Hasenoehrl is tied for ninth after the opening round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge at Red Sky Golf Club.
Hausmann and Hasenoehrl were steady from tee to green throughout the day with Hausmann at one-under 71 and Hasenoehrl at one-over 73. Pepperdine's Tatiana Wijaya is the first-round leader at four-under 68.
Sophomore Michelle Kim is at 79 and tied for 61st with freshman Clara Moyano and junior Kendall Gray in a tie for 70th with 81s.
Adjustments to the greens could help the Vandals, who combined for a 304 Monday, to close the gap. San Diego State is the first-day leader at 287 with Pepperdine at 291, Tennessee at 293 and Denver and Old Dominion tied at 298.
