PREVIEW: Idaho dominated Idaho State on Saturday, winning 77-62. The game was close at the break, and Idaho State even tied things up at 40 early in the second, but the Vandals responded with 11 straight points to take a double-digit lead they would not relinquish.Â
Victor Sanders led the way with 22, including 14-of-15 shooting from the free throw line. The rest of the starters also played well, combining for 36 points on 13-of-21 shooting.
Â
LAST MEETING: The teams split their meetings last season, with the road squad coming out on top in each matchup. The first came at the Spectrum, with Idaho falling 85-83 in overtime.  The second meeting was incredibly different. The Vandals were playing without
Victor Sanders and
Perrion Callandret but still managed to pull of the convincing 68-44 win. Five Vandals scored at least eight points, with
Ty Egbert leading the way with 12.
Â
START STRONG: All seven of Idaho's wins this season have come when the Vandal starting five scores at least 40 points. Idaho is 0-5 when the starters fail to score 40 points.
