SEATTLE, Wash. – Competition has begun at the UW Invitational, with a handful of Vandals competing on the opening day.
The action continues through Saturday, beginning with the women's long jump and 60-meter hurdles at 9 a.m. Fans can follow along through the links above.
Kara Story and
Maizy Brewer took second and third, respectively, in the 3000-meters. Story ran a personal-best of 10:03.22, while Brewer was close behind at 10:04.78 in her first collegiate 3k. The times are also good enough to move both athletes into the top-five in the Big Sky.
Kolcie Bates earned sixth in the weight throw with a throw of 17.16 meters, her best throw of the season so far and would move her into seventh in the Big Sky.
Sierra Speiker set a personal-best in the 5k, posting the second fastest time in the Big Sky this season at 17:20.88 and taking 20
th among a stacked field.
Andrea Condie crushed her personal-best in the event, finishing in 17:40.89.
