SEATTLE, Wash. – The Vandals got a taste of an upper-level meet this weekend, with competition at the UW Invitational wrapping on Saturday. A handful of Vandals posted season- and career-bests on the day.
Ben Doucette qualified for the finals in the 60-meter hurdles after posting a solid time of 8.26 seconds, the fifth best time of the round. He followed that up by running 8.17 seconds in the final and earning fourth.
Karina Moreland took sixth in the triple jump at 11.62 meters. The men's 4x400-meter relay squad of
Mack Baxter,
Dean Ellenwood,
Ian Middleton and
Zion Stuffle placed seventh with a time of 3:20.67
Matthew Pete Bauman finished just outside the top-10 in the weight throw with a toss of 15.73 meters, a new personal best.
