INDIAN WELLS, Calif.—Idaho junior Marianna Petrei fell in first round action at the ITA Fall National Championships on Wednesday.

Petrei got bounced from the main draw by No. 49 Paige Hourigan of Georgia Tech in three-sets. She got out in front to open the match with a 6-4 win. Hourigan answered back with a 6-4 win to tie the match at a set apiece. The Georgia Tech senior closed out the match with a 6-1 win in the third.

The Udine, Italy, native, will continue with consolation play on Thursday.
