Paven won the state championship in the 400m as a sophomore, running a time of 56.24, she also finished third in the 200m at that meet running 25.08. She finished second at the state championships in the 400m as freshman and a junior. Paven has also qualified for the state championships in the 100m. "Lauren has great speed and depth that should really help us in the long sprints. When it comes to the triple threat culture of striving for excellence in character, academics and athletics that we focus on here at Idaho track, she leaves no doubt that she will be right at home here in the Vandal family." -Tim Cawley, Director of Track & Field/Cross Country
