ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Men's hoops hits the road this week for the 40
th and final installment of the Great Alaska Shootout, hosted by Alaska-Anchorage. The Vandals will get things started on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Pacific against Santa Clara

Chris King will bring you the action all season long on the Vandal Radio Network, starting approximately 30 minutes before tipoff every night.
LAST TIME OUT: Idaho took down Sam Houston State, 63-54, in Memorial Gym. Idaho got up early, but the Bearkats fought their way back to take a lead of their own in the second.
Victor Sanders took over from there, outscoring SHSU 9-0 by himself over a 77-second stretch late to give Idaho the win.
GREAT ALASKA SHOOTOUT: This year will be the 40
th and final year for the Great Alaska Shootout. Idaho has competed in the Shootout just once, back in 1991. The field for the Shootout features a handful of teams that Idaho is familiar with, including Sam Houston State and CSU-Bakersfield. Idaho will take on CSU-Bakersfield on December 9.
COMMON OPPONENTS: Idaho and Santa Clara have both faced Nevada this season. Idaho fell to the Wolf Pack, 81-57, while Santa Clara lost at home, 93-63.
CHAD IN THE RECORD BOOKS: Senior guard
Chad Sherwood put himself in the Idaho record books on Saturday night. He now has 122 career 3-pointers, good enough for 10
th all-time.
