MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho men's hoops is home for the first time, taking on Lewis-Clark State as part of a doubleheader with the women, beginning at 2 p.m. The men will tipoff at 4 p.m., admission is free.
Last time out, Idaho fell at Oregon in an exhibition, 81-57.
Victor Sanders led the way for Idaho, as he did for the majority of last season, with 15 points off the bench.
Nate Sherwood had a solid day as well, finishing with 13 points and a game-high five rebounds.
LCSC is currently 4-0 on the season, outscoring its opponents by nearly 35 points per game. The warriors are led by Cordel Hankerson at 17.3 points per contest, while Jeremy Franklin is averaging 11 points and eight boards per game.
Idaho faced LCSC in the preseason last year as well, defeating the Warriors 80-66.
Jordan Scott and
Brayon Blake led the way for Idaho with 14 points apiece. Blake was also dominant on the glass, grabbing 11 boards.
Perrion Callandret added 12 points, while Sanders finished with 10. Overall, the Vandals dominated in the paint, outscoring the Warriors 34-12.
The season starts on Friday at Nevada, the defending Mountain West champions. Idaho will return to Moscow for its home-opener on Monday, November 13 against George Fox.
