Vandals Roll in Exhibition

Top LCSC, 84-59

MOSCOW, Idaho – The exhibition season came to a close on Sunday afternoon in Memorial Gym, with Idaho taking down Lewis-Clark State, 84-59.
 
The Idaho frontcourt was dominant as a group, going 21-of-26 from the floor and 5-of-6 from beyond the arc.  Brayon Blake led the way with a game-high 21 points, while Arkadiy Mkrtychyan added 17 points and a game-high seven boards.
 
The Vandal faithful also got the first opportunity to check out the freshman class.  Idaho got some solid contributions from the young talent, led by four points and five rebounds from Jared RodriguezGarrett Kingman saw 14 minutes of action off the bench, scoring on a pair of free throws to go along with three boards, one block and one steal.
 
As a team Idaho shot well, connecting on 51.6 percent (32-of-62) from the field and 44 percent (11-of-25) from deep.  Idaho did struggle a bit at the line, going 9-of-15 (60%) from the charity stripe.
