THIBODEAUX, La. – It's back on the road for Idaho men's hoops, with the Vandals traveling south to take on Nicholls State on Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. Pacific.

LAST TIME OUT: Idaho took third at the 40^th and final Great Alaska Shootout.  The Vandals had the top scoring offense in the shootout, averaging 68.7 points per contest on their way to a 2-1 mark.  The Vandals were decidedly the best 3-point shooting team in Alaska, connecting on 46 percent of their 3-pointers.  The next closest team, Cal Poly, shot 37 percent from range.
 
GREAT ALASKA SHOOTOUT: Victor Sanders and Perrion Callandret were named to the all-tournament team following their performances in Alaska.  Sanders led the Shootout at 22 points per game, and tied for the tournament lead with 12 3-pointers made.  Callandret wasn't far behind, posting the fifth best scoring average (17.3 points per game) and the best 3-point percentage at 64 percent (9-of-14).
 
COMMON OPPONENTS: Idaho and Nicholls state have no common opponents so far in 2017-18.  However, The Vandals have faced two Southland Conference foes in the last two years, splitting a pair of games with Sam Houston State and defeating Stephen F. Austin.  Nicholls State lost to both in 2016-17.
