LEWISTON, Idaho—Idaho men's tennis picked up its first Big Sky win of the season on Sunday. The Vandals won four of the six singles matches on its way to a 5-2 win over Sacramento State.

Idaho (2-2, 1-0 BSC) got the early 1-0 lead with a pair of doubles wins. Esteban Santibanez and Lucas Coutinho opened the day with a 6-2 win on the No. 2 court. Felipe Fonseca and Guilherme Scarpelli finished up No. 3 play with a 6-4 win.

Fonseca and Santibanez quickly put Idaho up 3-0 in the match with a pair of singles wins. Sacramento State cut into Idaho's lead with a closely contested 7-6, 7-6 decision on the No. 4 court.

Junior Mark Kovacs picked up the fourth and deciding point for Idaho. He won in three sets, 7-6, 4-6, 6-4, over Sac State's No. 1, Mikus Losbergs, to hand Idaho the win. Freshman Carlos Longhi Neto added to Idaho's win total with a 5-7, 7-5, 7-6 comeback on the No. 3 court.
