TICKETS
MOSCOW, Idaho – The 2017 Big Sky Basketball Championships are just one month away and the teams gearing up for a late-season push on the #RoadToReno, there's one major thing that remains undecided: you.
All-session tickets are available on GoVandals.com while supplies last. Women's tickets are currently just $38, while the men's all-session pass is just $80. Fans are encouraged to buy their tickets early, as prices will go up and all sales will be through the Big Sky Conference after the February 20 deadline.
The women, the defending Big Sky Tournament Champions, have won three straight and five of their last six overall and currently sit in fifth in the standings.
Idaho played an incredibly tough non-conference schedule to prepare for the grueling Big Sky season and it has paid off. The Vandals have a trio of double-digit scorers, led by sophomore
Mikayla Ferenz at 17.3 points per game.
Geraldine McCorkell is second on the squad at 14.5 per, while
Taylor Pierce is right behind at 12.2 points per contest.
The Vandals aren't afraid to shoot the rock, averaging 11.6 made 3's per game in conference play, the best average in the league. The women play five of their final seven games at home, taking on three of the conference's top seeded teams over the next two weeks.
The men have won six of their last seven and currently sit in fourth in the Big Sky standings. Junior guard
Victor Sanders has come on strong in conference play, upping his scoring total to 25.5 points per game, the second best average in the conference.
The Vandals stay true to their name, making their mark as a gritty, tough unit that's 15 men strong. Defensively, Idaho is at the top of the league, allowing just 70.7 points per game on the year. Idaho has the top rebounding team in the league as well, outrebounding opponents by nearly four boards per game, more than double the margin of the next closest team.
The men are on the road for the next two weeks, but close out their home schedule against Idaho State and Weber State on the last weekend of February.
