LAST TIME OUT: The Vandals took down Weber State in overtime last time out, 83-78. Idaho led for most of the contest, but a late flurry by the Wildcats and a tough call against the Vandals with 0.1 seconds remaining tied things up to force the extra frame. Neither team made a bucket in overtime, but the Vandals closed things out at the line for the win.
LAST MEETING: Idaho came out on top in the first meeting, 65-49.
Victor Sanders had 17 on the night, while
Brayon Blake had 18 points and seven boards. The game was close through the first 30 minutes, but then a big run by the Vandals put the Lumberjacks out of contention.
CHANGING OF THE GUARD: With leading scorer
Victor Sanders out against Weber State, freshman
Trevon Allen stepped up into the starting point guard role. No stranger to the big stage, Allen was poised and confident on Saturday, leading the squad to victory on senior day. He finished with a career-best 25 points, knocking down 14-of-14 free throw attempts, just the third Vandal ever to accomplish those numbers at the line.
SEEDING: There is still a lot up in the air as far as seeding goes for the Big Sky Tournament in Reno next week. The Vandals could finish as high as third or as low as sixth. Check the notes for more information on clinching scenarios.
