Fewer than 100 football players have played for their head coaching dads. Mason Petrino is one of the few. Not only is he head coach Paul Petrino's son, Paul is his position coach. Well, one of his position coaches. Mason plays both receiver (the position Paul coaches) and quarterback, where his mentor is Charley Molnar. Mason and Paul talk about the their time on the field together in this Vandal Video short.

They're not the only father-son combo on the team. Luther Elliss is the father of junior linebacker Kaden Elliss and his brother Christian, who joins the Vandals this summer. More on that story in a future Vandal Video feature.

You can see them in action in their next scrimmage, which is Friday, April 21, at 5:30 p.m. at Lewiston's Bengal Field. Their spring finale is the Silver and Gold Game Friday, April 28, at 6 p.m.
