RESULTS
ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Idaho track and field closed out the regular season with the CWU Final Qualifier on Friday, with a number of athletes posting top-three finishes.
Kolcie Bates and
Adara Winder battled in the field events, going 1-2 in the shot put and the discus. Widner took the advantage in the shot put, winning the event at 13.71 meters, while Bates won the discus at 44.71 meters. Bates also won the hammer throw at 52.72 meters.
Kaylee Hove earned third in the 400-meters with a time of 1:01.55, while
McCall Skay also took third in the 1500-meters at 5:06.26.
Maddy Dustin finished third in the 200-meters (26.80) and fourth in the 100-meters (12.58).
Then men had a trio of winners on Friday.
Christopher Black took first in the 800-meters with a time of 1:58.38, while
Austin Fred won the 3000-meter steeplechase at 9:56.70.
Jonny Magee earned the win in the triple jump with a leap of 14.31 meters.
Rikki McCaw also placed well, finishing second in the 200-meters with a time of 22.98 seconds.
SEATTLE, Wash. – A pair of athletes also competed at the Ken Shannon Invitational in Seattle over the weekend as well.
Ben Doucette won the 110-meter hurdles with his fastest time of the season at 14.41 seconds, moving into third in the Big Sky this season.
Zion Stuffle earned third in the 400-meter hurdles at 53.56 seconds.
