MOSCOW, Idaho—The University of Idaho's incoming class arrived on campus on Thursday. They were greeted in the parking lots by members of the Idaho volleyball, women's basketball and football teams.
Vandal student-athletes, coaches and administrators joined a large volunteer effort, welcoming freshmen and their families to the campus. The Vandals helped alleviate some of the move-in day stress. Idaho's athletic volunteers helped unload and carry loads of boxes from cars, easing the process for many relieved families. The teams provided door-to-door service, navigating up as many as 12 floors from the parking lot.
Thursday was just the first opportunity for the Vandals to get out in the community. Tomorrow teams will be out at Vandal Friday at the Eastside Market Place, signing autographs and meeting fans. Saturday the student-athletes will be at Palousafest on campus along Sixth Street.
