RESULTS
SPOKANE, Wash. – Seven athletes took home individual titles on Friday, as Idaho wrapped competition at the Sam Adams Invitational in Spokane.
Zachary Short was exceptional in the shot put, throwing a personal-best toss of 18.23 meters (59-9.75). He followed that up with a third-place finish in the discus at 48.53 meters (159-3.00).
Jonny Magee dominated the triple jump at 14.47 meters (47-5.75).
Kaleala Bass took the individual win in the 400-meters, finish in 57.87 seconds, the seventh fastest time in the Big Sky this season.
Hana Tyndall also got the individual win, taking first in the 100-meter hurdles, the seventh best time in the Big Sky this year.
Jordyn Rauer was the top-finisher in the triple jump with a leap of 11.08 meters (36-4.25).
Rikki McCaw won the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.93 seconds, a new personal best. He followed that up with a second-place finish in the 200-meters at 22.24 seconds.
Nik Chappee won the 200-meter dash at 22.17 seconds.
The Vandals earned four of the top five spots in the 1500-meters, highlighted by
Andrea Condie in second with a new personal-best of 4:39.16.
Krista Story (4:48.41) finished third,
Emily Wesseling (4:53.60) and
McCall Skay (4:57.95) rounded out the top five.
Hannah Ringel was second in the shot put, at 13.12 meters (43-0.50).
Malaina Thacker placed second in the 800-meters, finishing in 2:19.11.
Arphaxad Carroll returned to the long jump, finishing in second with a leap of 6.83 meters (22-5.00).
Kaylee Hove took third overall in the 200-meters at 25.96 seconds.
Austin Beyer placed third in the javelin, at 59.59 meters (195-6.00).
