MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho Track & Field/Cross Country program is thrilled to announce the signing of Zachary Nunis of Bayswater North, Australia. Nunis is a premiere athlete in Australia in the horizontal jumps and will make a big impact in the Big Sky Conference at the University of Idaho.
Nunis has personal bests of 7.49m (24' 6.75") in the long jump, 14.87m (48' 9.5") in the triple jump, 10.95 seconds in the 100m and 22.29 seconds in the 200m. His mark in the long jump would have been ranked fifth in the Big Sky Conference in the 2017 season.
He has placed at national level competitions numerous times including winning the Australian Junior Championships in the long jump and placing third in the triple jump in 2016. Nunis also won the Australian All School Championships in the long jump and placed second in the triple jump in 2016. He won the Victorian All School Championships in the long jump in 2017.
