Student-Athlete Support Services Academic Center

University of Idaho student-athletes returned from spring break in 2019 to a renovated and dedicated academic space. After three weeks of modifications, two meeting rooms and a computer lab were converted to create the Vandal Academic Center. The center boasts 20 computers, two printers, seven group study tables and a pair of cubicles to form private office spaces for tutors and learning specialists.

The Vandal Academic Center is located at the east end of the Kibbie Dome, on the second floor near many of the coaching and administrative offices. In addition to the two office spaces inside the center, the three full-time student-athlete support services staff members are housed just steps away. Previously, the Kibbie Dome had two computer labs. Expanding the footprint of the Vandal Academic Center on the second floor allowed the amenities of the first-floor lab to be moved upstairs, consolidating the learning spaces and allowing for easier access to the academic support staff.
