On Saturday, University of Idaho senior guard Mike Iupati was recognized as a Football Writers Association of America All-American - a first for a Vandal football player.

Iupati was a finalist for the Outland Trophy and already is a first-team selection to the Walter Camp Team and an American Football Coaches Association All-American - only the third Vandal to be so recognized. He also is a first team choice by CBSSports.com.

The Vandals wrap up the 2009 campaign against Bowling Green State University at the Dec. 30 Humanitarian Bowl.
