Vandals visit Seattle U

MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho men's basketball team plays its final three regular season games on the road, beginning with a visit to Seattle U on March 1. Saturday's game will be televised on ROOT Sports, with a 7 p.m. tip-off in Key Arena.

The Vandals (12-16, 5-8 WAC) will be looking for their first three-game winning streak of the season, coming off wins over CSU Northridge and Grand Canyon last week, while Seattle U (12-14, 4-9 WAC) is looking to end its current three-game skid, losing in triple overtime to Chicago State on Feb. 27 after a 74-73 loss to Grand Canyon on Feb. 20.

Seattle U topped Idaho 68-67 in Moscow on Feb. 1 after erasing a 16-point second-half deficit. Idaho's Stephen Madison led all scorers in that game with 27 points while Seattle's Jarell Flora led the Redhawks with 16 points.

Saturday's game features the WAC's top two scorers, with Madison averaging a league-best 19.8 points per game and Seattle U's Isiah Umipig right behind with 19.6. The Redhawks are the WAC's best defensive team, with league-bests of 38.7 rebounds per game and a +5.7 rebounding margin.

The Vandals will wrap up the regular season at Chicago State on March 6 and Kansas City on March 8. The WAC Tournament is March 13-16 in Las Vegas, Nev., and Idaho can earn as high as the No. 3 seed.
