MOSCOW, Idaho – Former Idaho men's basketball player Glen Dean has signed a professional contract with Czech Republic side Sluneta Usti nad Labem, as announced by the team Wednesday.
Dean played just one season for the Vandals, 2013-14. He averaged 9.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists per contest while starting 19 games. Dean's best game of the season came in Idaho's 76-75 win over Portland State, when he scored a career-high 26 points.
Dean began his collegiate career at Eastern Washington, where he played for current Idaho assistant Kirk Earlywine. Dean was impressive with the Eagles, earning the Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year honors. Dean played his junior season at Utah, where he averaged 5.5 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
Sluneta Usti nad Labem competes in the National Basketball League in the Czech Republic. The squad features a number of American players from several major universities.
