Congratulations to our 2016 Hall of Fame class

I would like to congratulate our Vandal Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2016.

As we recognize them, we remember it's great to be a Vandal. This tribute to our heritage is a justifiable look back into our history, a true acknowledgement of the present, and a forecast to the future – which we trust will leave the same legacy of leadership these amazing Vandals possess.

As you welcome the Class of 2016 tonight, you will note the commonality of their achievement and the impact they had after their college careers. No matter where they've gone and what they've done, we are proud to call them Vandals.

We launched the Vandal Athletics Hall of Fame in 2007. We inducted our charter membership over a two-year period. In that class of 100 individuals and five teams, we honored the student-athletes who provided us with our legacy of leadership, championship, community, and achievement.

This group possesses the same qualities as leaders, same résumés of achievement, and same exceptional character as the classes that preceded them into the Vandal Athletics Hall of Fame.

As we honor the 2016 class, you will hear their stories tonight and know they are worthy of, and true representatives of, Vandal Athletics Hall of Fame membership.
