MOSCOW, Idaho – Exhibition season ended on Friday night, as Idaho took down local opponent Lewis-Clark State, 80-66.  The Vandals got contributions from across the board, with 11 athletes scoring on the day.
 
"I though LC-State did a really nice job, they played a really good game here tonight," said head coach Don Verlin.  "I thought they were the aggressors from start to finish.  As you can tell from the tone of my voice I didn't think our performance was where it needs to be at this point."
 
Jordan Scott and Brayon Blake led the squad with 14 points apiece.  Blake earned the double-double, finishing with 11 boards as well.  Perrion Callandret (12) and Victor Sanders (10) also finished in double-figures.
 
Idaho took a 43-29 lead into the break behind some tremendous defense.  The Vandals allowed just one 2-point field goal in the opening half.  The Vandals had some difficulty holding the ball early, committing 12 turnovers in the first half, but settled down in the second to end with just 15.
 
Rebounding was a calling-card for the Vandals in 2015-16 and it appears as though things are the same this year.  Idaho dominated on the glass, winning the rebounding battle 40-25.
 
As a team, the Vandals shot 50 percent (27-of-54) from the field and 42.1 percent (8-of-19) from deep.  LCSC shot 37.3 percent (22-of-59) from the field and 37.5 percent (15-of-40) from beyond the arc.
