@VandalsWBB to Face No. 24 Oregon St.

MAUI, Hawaii—The Idaho Vandals jet off to the 2016 Maui Wahine Classic, looking to break its current three-game skid. The Vandals open with No. 24 Oregon State on Friday (8:30 p.m. PT), closing the weekend with UNLV on Saturday (6:30 p.m. PT).

About Idaho: Idaho is off to a 2-3 start to the season,  its slowest since a 1-4 start in 2012. Idaho currently is on a three game skid, after a 2-0 start. Idaho's last two losses at the GCU Thanksgiving Classic were by a combined six points.

About the Opponent: OSU enters Friday ranked No. 24 in the nation by the Associated Press. The Beavers started the season 3-0, before losing at home to Marquette, 74-73. Oregon State has just 45 turnovers this season, the fewest in the NCAA.

The Match-Up: Friday will be the third meeting in the last three years between Idaho and Oregon State. The Beavers have won each of those meetings, owing a 3-2 overall record dating back to 1985.

Limited Access: Idaho was held to just six 3-point attempts against Northern Iowa, matching the fewest attempted since Nov. 25, 2011 against Pepperdine.

Record Breakers: The Vandals and Huskies combined for a NCAA-record 97 3-point attempts on Tuesday, shattering the previous record of 80 set by Sacramento State and Cal in 2015.

Keep away: Idaho's 60 turnovers this season rank 10th fewest in the NCAA. It's 12.0 turnovers per game are 13th nationally.

Make it Rain: The Vandals are averaging 8.4 3FGM per game, ranking second in the Big Sky and 37th in the NCAA.

Playing Nice: Idaho has been called for 14.6 personal fouls per game this season, 26th in the NCAA. Last year the Vandals were the least penalized team in the Big Sky, averaging 15.0 personal fouls per game, 33rd in nation.

Ball Control: Idaho leads the Big Sky (50th NCAA) with an assist/turnover ratio of 1.10.

Slim Wins: Idaho's two wins this season have been by margins of four and two points. Idaho was 7-4 last year in games decided by 10 points or less.

600: Idaho's win over Cal State Fullerton was the program's 600th.

Newlee Openers: Idaho improved to 4-5 in season openers under Coach Newlee with its 68-64 win at Seattle U.
