PULLMAN, Wash. – The Battle of the Palouse is back, with Idaho (4-3) making the short trip over to Pullman to take on Washington State (4-4) at 7:06 on Wednesday night in Beasley Coliseum.

PREVIEW: Idaho defeated UC Davis on a buzzer-beater by
Jordan Scott last time out. The Vandals currently sit at 4-3 on the season after playing a very challenging non-conference schedule.

WSU enters the matchup having dropped three of its last four, including a 70-54 loss to New Orleans at home on Saturday. WSU has yet to play a true road game this season.

MATCHUP: Idaho is looking for its third straight in the historic rivalry, after taking down the Cougars in Moscow last season 78-74.Â
Perrion Callandret and
Victor Sanders were tremendous on that night, going for 25 and 20 points, respectively. Sanders saved his best for late, scoring 15 points in the second half to help secure the win.

THE BATTLE: Idaho has won two straight in the Battle of the Palouse, the longest continuously running rivalry West of the Mississippi. The rivalry began in January of 1906, with this year marking the 112
th consecutive season of competition. The Vandals haven't won three straight in the rivalry since 1988-90.
