The Game: Idaho continues on the road this week opening with the Big 10 conference champions The Ohio State Buckeyes.

About The Vandals: Idaho returns its three top-producers from a year ago. Mikayla Ferenz, Geraldine McCorkell and Taylor Pierce make up the core of the Vandal lineup. The Vandals won their first postseason game in 31 years last year, advancing to the semifinals of the Women's Basketball Invitational. The team has five new faces this season, including four freshmen.

About the Buckeyes: OSU has played two difficult games to open the season. The Buckeyes opened the season with an 85-64 win over top-10 ranked Stanford last Friday. Ohio State then battled nationally-ranked Louisville, falling 95-90 in overtime. OSU returns four of its starters from last year, making them the preseason favorite to repeat as Big Ten champions. The Buckeyes have advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 in each of the last two seasons.

Last time: Idaho defeated four-time defending Mount West regular season champions Colorado State last Friday. The Vandals tied a school-record with 18 3FGM. Taylor Pierce totaled 24 points to lead Idaho in the 83-69 win.

Game Connections: Coaching legend Tara VanDerveer began her historic career at Idaho (1978-80). She spent two seasons leading the Vandals before taking the head coaching job at Ohio State (1980-85).
