MOSCOW, Idaho--The Vandal women make their Cowan Spectrum debut on Friday in the first of a basketball doubleheader. The women open the night against Seattle U at 5 p.m. and the Vandal men will take on Simon Fraser in the second contest.

The Game:Â Idaho is set to renew its regional-rivalry with former Western Athletic Conference foe the Seattle U Redhawks on Friday. Idaho and Seattle U have played each of the last six seasons.
About The Vandals: Idaho opened the season with a road-win at four-time Mountain West champion Colorado State. Idaho returned home 2-3 after playing the first five games on the road. The Vandals have been led by its core of
Mikayla Ferenz, Geri McCorkell and
Taylor Pierce. The group has scored 75.9 percent of Idaho's points this season (440 combined). Â
About the Redhawks: Seattle U got back to .500 on the season with a 78-64 win at Montana on Wednesday. The Redhawks got 22 points from the WAC Preseason Player of the Year, Alexis Montgomery, in the win.Â
Last Time: Mikayla Ferenz became Idaho's first 30-point scorer of the season in Idaho's 70-64 loss to Wyoming. She went 12-for-21 from the field to lead Idaho. The Vandals struggled from behind the arc, hitting a season-low five 3's.
Past History: Idaho has won the last seven games against the Redhawks dating back to March 16, 2013. The Vandals streak started with a 67-64 win, giving Idaho it's first WAC Championship. The Vandals are 2-0 in WAC title games against Seattle U , winning again in 2014.
