BOISE--The Vandals will open the Holiday Hoops Classic against Eastern Oregon on Thursday. Game time is set for 4 p.m. PT at CenturyLink Arena. The men's team will follow against UC Irvine.

The Game: Idaho closes out the non-conference season with the Holiday Hoops Classic. The Vandals will take on Eastern Oregon in the first game of a doubleheader. The men will take on UC Irvine.

About The Vandals: Idaho opened the season with a road-win at four-time Mountain West champion Colorado State. The Vandals went 1-3 in the first home stand of the season, getting their lone win against Cal State Fullerton.  The trio of Mikayla Ferenz, Geri McCorkell and Taylor Pierce have led the team this season. The group has scored 73.7 percent of Idaho's points this season (496 combined).  

About the Mountaineers: Eastern Oregon is 11-2 on the season and have won its last five games. The Mountaineers take on College of Idaho on Wednesday prior to their meeting with the Vandals. Idaho is the lone DI school on their schedule this season.

Last Time: Idaho struggled from the field, hitting just 12 field goals in its 77-33 loss at Arizona State. It was the first game since Nov. 26, 2010 (@ Oregon) that a Vandals did not reach double-figure scoring. Taylor Pierce led the way with eight points for Idaho.
