North Dakota Next in Line for Vandals

MOSCOW, Idaho—Idaho women's basketball will look to defend its home court on Saturday against North Dakota. Idaho will be hosting its National Women in Sports Day. Players from the Vandal soccer and volleyball teams will be hosting a free clinic at 1 p.m. Girls from 3rd to 8th grade are encouraged to participate. 

About Idaho: The Vandals again struggled on their home court on Thursday falling to Northern Colorado, 71-67. Idaho is now 4-3 at home with four more games left in the Cowan Spectrum.

About the Opponent: North Dakota kept its status on top of the Big Sky on Saturday with its win at Eastern Washington. The Fighting Hawks have won their last seven straight, dating back to their mid January win at Montana. UND leads the conference with 5.8 blocks per game.

The Match-Up: Idaho and North Dakota have met a total of six times, three coming in the last two seasons. Idaho has won the last two, including a 72-51 win last January, to even the series at three games apiece. 

Short End: Six of Idaho's losses this season have come down to the wire, the latest being a four-point loss to Northern Colorado. Idaho has losses of two, three, four (2x), five and seven points this season. 

Keep away: Idaho's 305 turnovers this season rank 27th fewest in the NCAA. It's 13.3 per game are least in the Big Sky and 26th nationally. 

Charitable: Idaho is ranked 12th in the nation with a 77.6 free throw percentage, second in the Big Sky.

Ball Control: Idaho ranks second in the Big Sky with an assist/turnover ratio of 1.11.

RPI: Idaho's 141 RPI ranks fourth in the Big Sky. Montana State (65), Northern Colorado (106) and North Dakota (123) lead the conference. 

Make it Rain: The Vandals are averaging 10.5 3FGM per game, ranking second in the Big Sky and fourth in the NCAA.
