CHENEY, Wash.—The Women's Basketball Invitational continues on Monday for the Vandal women's basketball team. Idaho will hit the road and make the short trip to Eastern Washington for its quarterfinal matchup.

About The Vandals: Idaho advanced to the quarterfinal round with its first postseason win since 1986. Idaho defeated Utah State 64-57 in Memorial Gym.
Taylor Pierce led the way with 19 points and a career-high eight rebounds.
Mikayla Ferenz added 13 points in the win. Idaho led by as many as 16 in the third quarter. 3's from Pierce and
Geraldine McCorkell helped Idaho pull away late.
About Eastern Wash: The Eagles needed a double-digit comeback to force overtime on its way to the win at Texas State. EWU trailed by as many as 16 in the first half. Regulation finished in a 55-55 tie. EWU opened the overtime period on a 7-2 run, going up 62-57. Free throws down the stretch to advance with the 66-62 win.
The Match-Up: The two schools will meet for the fourth time this season on Monday. Idaho and EWU played four times in the 1985-86 season. Idaho went 3-1 that season against the Eags. EWU holds a 2-1 record this season, winning the first and latest match-ups.
Scouting the Eagles: Eastern Washington ranks ninth in the Big Sky with its 67.3 points per game. They are solid on the defensive side of the ball, allowing 64.3 points per game. EWU ranks fourth in the conference with a 3.1 scoring margin.
Delaney Hodgins is Eastern's main offensive threat. She leads the conference in minutes, field goal attempts and field goals made. She's second in the league to Ferenz with 17.5 ppg.
EWU is 8-4 this season on its home court. Its last home loss came to Southern Utah, 64-63, on March 1.

Idaho is 2-1 on this day. Idaho first played William Penn in 1981, its only loss on the day (63-43). Idaho's two wins also came in the 80s. The Vandals won by forfeit over Centenary in 1982 and picked up a 74-61 win over Fresno State in the first round of the WNIT in 1986.
Postseason W's
Idaho's win over Utah State was its first postseason win since a 100-91 win over NW Louisiana in the 1986 WNIT Championship game.
