Women's Basketball

Senior Night Friday

MOSCOW, Idaho—Friday's game closes out the home careers of two Idaho women's basketball seniors. Agueda Trujillo and Karlee Wilson will play their final regular season game against Southern Utah (6 p.m. PT) at the Cowan Spectrum. All tickets for the regular season finale will be $5.

The two guards both came to Idaho four years ago and have been a part of Idaho's two most recent NCAA Tournament trips.

Trujillo joined the Vandals in 2013 as a freshman from Manacor, Spain. She appeared in 15 games as a freshman and scored a career-high 19 points against Chicago State. She scored a season-high 17 points at Cal State Fullerton this year, matching a career-high with three 3-pointers. As a senior she is averaging 5.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. She is shooting 36.7 percent from 3-point range for her career, ranking 10th in program history.

Wilson, a native of Lewiston, Idaho, joined the Vandals in 2013. Her rookie season was cut short just 14 games into the season, after suffering a season-ending knee injury while playing at Texas. As a junior Wilson cemented her role in the starting lineup, playing all 34 games from the start. She scored a career-high 19 points at Sacramento State and handed out 2.7 assists per game.

She averaged 11.0 points per game in last year's Big Sky Tournament. She went 11-for-12 from the free-throw line in the fourth-quarter of the Big Sky Championship game, helping Idaho defeat Idaho State and advance to the NCAA Tournament. She has started all 26 games she has played this season, scoring a season-high 18 points against Montana. Her 10 assists at Cal State Fullerton marked a career-high. She is averaging a career-best 8.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.

She currently has 324 career assists, ranking 10th all-time in Idaho history, while she sits seventh all-time with a 78.8 career free throw percentage.

About Idaho: Idaho dropped its fourth home game of the season on Wednesday, but was able to keep pace in the Big Sky standings. The Vandals can clinch the No. 4 seed, and a bye, with a win and losses by EWU and Idaho State.

About the Opponent: The Thunderbirds picked up their second Big Sky win of the season, 64-63, at EWU on Wednesday. Southern Utah is locked into the 12th seed for the Big Sky Tournament. They will play the No. 5 seed on Monday.

The Match-Up: The Vandals have had much success as of late against SUU. Idaho has won six straight and hold an 8-4 series lead. Taylor Pierce totaled a game-high 25 points as four Vandals scored in double figures in Idaho's 85-68 win back in January.
