SACRAMENTO--Idaho looks to build off its 1-1 split to start Big Sky play last week. The Vandals will venture into The Nest at Sacramento State on Thursday. Junior Mikayla Ferenz, the reigning Big Sky Player of the Week, leads the conference with 21.2 ppg this season.

About the Hornets:Â Sacramento State lost five seniors to graduation following the 2016-17 season. The Hornets have a young roster this season, featuring eight underclassmen. The Hornets have allowed 90 or more points in five games this season.Â

Mikayla Ferenz added 19 but the Vandals fell to Northern Colorado, 78-72. Idaho led by six in the fourth quarter but turned the ball over 23 times in the loss.Â
