Vandals Look for Turnaround at Portland State

Idaho looks to for the weekend-split on Saturday

PORTLAND--The Vandals look to pick up a weekend-split in their first road trip of the conference season on Saturday. Idaho takes on Portland State at 1 p.m. PT

The Game: The Vandals look to get back to .500 in conference play on Saturday. Idaho has won the last five games against the Vikings, dating back to 2015. The game is being played at Lewis & Clark College due to the construction of the new arena at Portland State. 

About The Vandals: Idaho wrapped the non-conference season with a 4-7 record. The Vandals opened the season win a road-win at four-time Mountain West champion Colorado State. Idaho also has wins over CSUN, Cal State Fullerton, Eastern Oregon and North Dakota. The trio of Mikayla Ferenz, Geri McCorkell and Taylor Pierce have led the team this season. The group has scored 73.2 percent of Idaho's points this season (712 combined).  

About the Vikings: Portland State stars a perfect 2-0 in conference play. The Vikings have wins over Sacramento State and Eastern Washington. They closed non-conference play with a 94-79 win over Ole Miss out of the SEC. The Vikings have won five straight and seven of their last eight.

Last Time Out: Mikayla Ferenz matched her season-high with 33 points in Thursday's loss at Sacramento State. The Vandals got down by 26 points in the first half and fought back to trim the lead to eight in the fourth quarter.

• Lead the Big Sky with 75.5 points per game
• Courtney West is second in the Big Sky with 2.46 blocks per game (24th NCAA)

• Sidney Rielly is 33rd in the NCAA with 20.1 points per game
