Rematch with Northern Colorado

Vandals take on the Bears in Big Sky semis

OGDEN, Utah
– Postseason play gets started on Friday for Idaho soccer, when the Vandals take on the Bears of Northern Colorado in the Big Sky Championship Semifinal at 11 a.m. (Pacific).

Big Sky semifinals and Championship game will be televised live on Eleven Sports.  Check with your local cable provider for more information.

BIG SKY TOURNAMENT: The Vandals are back in the Big Sky Championship for the third time in the last four years.  Idaho earned a bye in all three occurrences, after winning the league in 2015 and 2016.
 
LAST TIME OUT: Idaho tied Northern Arizona, 0-0, in the final game of the regular season.  The shutout was the fifth straight for the Vandals, setting a new program record.  Paired with a Northern Colorado tie at Portland State, the Vandals earned the No. 2 seed in the Big Sky Championship.
 
MATCHUP: Idaho is 5-3-1 all-time against Northern Colorado.  The Vandals fell to the Bears, 3-0, in the lone meeting this season.
 
These two teams have met at a neutral site once before, in the 2015 Big Sky Championship game.  The game ended in a 1-1 tie, with UNCO advancing on penalty kicks.
 
ALL-BIG SKY: Idaho placed six student-athletes on All-Big Sky teams in 2018.  Kelly Dopke and Myah Merino were named to the First Team, while Hadley Sbrega earned Second Team honors.  Makayla Presgrave, Bridget Daley and Kayleigh Frederick earned Honorable Mention accolades.
 
Dopke and Presgrave also took home individual awards.  Dopke was named the Defensive Most Valuable Player, while Presgrave was recognized as co-Goalkeeper of the Year.
