MOSCOW, Idaho— Behind three players hitting above a .400 hitting clip, league-leading Idaho women's volleyball defeated Montana State inside Memorial Gym on Saturday afternoon. Idaho is now 20-8 overall and 14-2 in conference while Montana drops to 11-6 and 6-10.
Although this afternoon was not her highest hitting performance, senior

Reece Carman (.500) and
Sarah Sharp (.400). Sharp led with 21 kills and three blocks with Carman adding 19 kills and three blocks. Between the three top performers, there were only five errors.

Idaho set the tone early jumping out to a 6-3 lead on a kill by Ryter. A big run came with the Vandals up by a point, 15-14, when Idaho used six straight kills to extend its lead to seven (21-14). The Bobcats would earn two points, but another run by the Vandals controlled the end of the set.
SET 2
Both teams traded leads for the majority of the set until the Vandals took the lead for good after tying the set at 18-18. Idaho went on a 3-0 run sparked by two kills from freshman
Kennedy Warren, which gave Idaho a three-point edge. The Vandals used that momentum to take set two, 25-21.
SET 3
Another back-and-forth set between the Vandals and the Bobcats, but it was Montana State that proved to be in control. Set was tied 22-22 when the Bobcats rallied a couple points to have the two-point edge. A late rally by the Vandals wasn't enough as Montana State took set three, 28-26
SET 4
A slow start had the Vandals trailing in set four 11-6 forcing head coach
Debbie Buchanan to call a timeout. After adjustments, it was like day and night as the Vandals rattle off five points to tie the set 12-12. A huge block by Ryter and Carman gave the Vandals a one-point advantage. Down the stretch, kills from Idaho's top performers Ryter, Carman and Sharp ended the match giving Idaho its 12th straight win.
