MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho Track & Field program is thrilled to announce the signing of Jurrian Hering of Gig Harbor High School in Washington. Hering is a high level hurdler and sprinter, whose high school career has been highlighted by winning a state championship in the 110m hurdles in a personal best of 14.21 as a junior.
Hering also placed in the 100m, taking third at the state championships. He has a personal best of 10.80 in the 100m. He was also part of a 4 x 100m relay team that placed second at the state championships. Hering also qualified for the state championships in the 200m, and has a personal best of 22.18 in the event.
His sophomore season also featured high places at the Washington state meet, placing second in the 110m hurdles and fifth in the 100m.
Hering is also a star defensive back on the Gig Harbor football team and was highly recruited by several Division I teams. He has chosen to follow his passion in track & field at the collegiate level.
