LONG BEACH, Calif.— Idaho women's basketball is ready for a pair of games at the Beach Classic hosted by Long Beach State over the Thanksgiving weekend, Nov.23-24. The Vandals will first play Boise State at 5:00 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, Idaho and LBSU will close the tourney with a 4:00 p.m. tip at the Walter Pyramid Arena.

INSIDE THE SERIES: Boise State leads the series, 31-34, as Friday's contest marks the 65th meeting between the Vandals and the Broncos. The last time the two met was seven years ago, Mar. 9, 2011, when Idaho defeated Boise State, 70-59.
It has been nine years since a meeting between Long Beach State and Idaho. The Vandals trail the Beach, 4-14, in all-time series with its last meeting resulting in a 53-65 rout on Dec. 20, 2009.
The Vandals head into the Beach Classic 2-1 after besting Big 12 opponent Texas Tech, 88-77. Idaho's only loss was to nationally rank, Stanford.
FIVE IN DOUBLE FIGURES: Taylor Pierce led all scorers with 22 points, and all five starters score in double figures to help Idaho to an 88-77 win over Texas Tech on Saturday as Idaho moved to 2-1 on the season.
Natalie Klinker notched 11 points while
Mikayla Ferenz found her rhythm late in the third quarter, totaling 15 points.
Isabelle Hadden got her 17 points as starting point-guard,
Gina Marxen, finished with 12 and dished out a game-high six assists.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE: Sophomore Klinker collected her first double-double of the season adding a season-high 14 rebounds to go along with the 11 points on Saturday against Texas Tech.
DEFENSE FIRST: Not only did the offense click for the Vandals as they dished out 23 assists collectively versus Texas Tech, but the Lady Raiders had no answer to the Vandal's defense. Idaho finished the game with six steals, 32 defensive rebounds and forced 19 turnovers.
