FASTBREAK
- The Vandals continue to struggle to find a win as they lost a hard fought battle against Wyoming, 61-64 on Dec 8.
- In what looked like to be an off night, Idaho persevered and put together a second-half comeback led by the Splash Sisters, Mikayla Ferenz (18 pts) Â and Taylor Pierce (14 pts), who tallied a combined 32 points.
- Sophomore Natalie Klinker added her second double-double with 10 points and 11 boards to the comeback effort against the Cowgirls.
- Juliet Jones played a season-high 36 minutes contributing nine points, four boards and five assist as she started for the Vandals
- Idaho has out-rebounded four out of five of its last opponents.
SCOUTING REPORT
- AP Top 25 rankings are out, and the Zags sit at No. 21/21 with a record of 10-1 on the season.
- The Zags are currently on a six-game winning streak, which includes a top 10 upset over #8/11 Stanford, 79-73, back on Dec 2.
- Gonzaga is ranked for the third-straight week after checking in for the first time this year at No.24/22 on Dec. 3.
- Thursday's game will be the 31st meeting between Gonzaga and Idaho. It will be the first meeting since No, 8, 2013 when the Bulldogs topped the Vandals 64-56 in Spokane during the Preseason WNIT.
