KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The accolades keep rolling in, as seniors
Brayon Blake and
Victor Sanders have been recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches on Tuesday, earning All-District 6 Second Team honors.
Blake, a First Team All-Big Sky selection, averaged 17.0 points and a conference-best 9.6 rebounds per contest. He recorded 12 double-doubles on the season, also the most in the Big Sky. Blake scored in double-figures in 26-of-31 games for the Vandals, including 11 20-plus point games.
Sanders led the Vandals at 19.0 points per game, the fourth highest average in the Big Sky, on his way to earning Second Team All-Conference accolades. He scored in double-figures in 29-of-31 games, including 15 20-plus point outbursts.
Both Vandals also moved up the single-season record book in 2017-18. Sanders finished the year with 589 points, the seventh most in a single season in team history. Blake grabbed 298 rebounds, the fifth most in a season ever at Idaho.
Sanders ends his career with the Vandals in second all-time with 1804 points, trailing only Orlando Lightfoot. Sanders also earned All-District honors last year, taking home First Team recognition.
The Vandals finished the year 22-9, taking second in the Big Sky at 14-4 in conference play.
